Netafim USA was honored with the 2022 IA Vanguard Award for its innovative Subsurface Drip Irrigation for Dairy Effluent Water Application (SDI-E) project. The IA Vanguard Award honors an innovative project in the irrigation industry executed by a team of individuals, companies, organizations, or other group entities. Projects chosen for this award exemplify the IA’s mission of promoting efficient irrigation. Subsurface Drip Irrigation for Effluent Water Application (SDI-E) is a unique subsurface drip irrigation system that utilizes patented blending control technology to mix dairy effluent with freshwater to create a natural fertilizer blend for dairy farmers. This innovative solution allows dairies to effectively manage their manure, improving water quality, conserving water resources, and helping them to comply with regulatory mandates while also protecting their bottom line.

AlphaDisc™ Wins Bronze in New Product Contest
Netafim USA was also recognized with the 2022 New Product Contest award for its innovative filtration system, AlphaDisc™. AlphaDisc™ combines precise depth filtration, high dirt-holding capacity, a smart controller for precise performance data, and a unique, easy-to-scale modular design that effectively filters water containing a high load of organic materials, algae, silt, and clay.
This year's contest included 30 new products and technologies in the agriculture irrigation, landscape irrigation, and landscape lighting categories. AlphaDisc emerged as a standout among these innovative products, which were evaluated based on criteria such as innovation, design quality, water/resource-use efficiency, ease of use, and product lifespan.
